Casa Amarillo

This property is set within eight acres of pine woodland along with the owners property who are English speaking in a beautiful rural position having great views over the local countryside.

The modern poolside villa built in 2006 is within easy reach of Seville and Portugal, and is a fantastic base for the Donana National Park (20 minutes away).

Situated on the Costa de la Luz near to the town of Huelva in the centre of three villages where you have a good selection of bars and restaurants to choose from.

The swimming pool is 8 metres by 4 metres surrounded by a very large tiled area with sun loungers and those all important shaded areas. The area has an outside loo and a trampoline, basket ball net and a football net.

The lounge has a log burning fire for those cosy evenings, with picture frame windows you can see the far reaching views over the fields to the hills of Valverde. There are three twin bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, one with en-suite. (Bedding is changed weekly.) There is a fully fitted main bathroom with shower, all towels are supplied and changed daily.

General

The villa is in a quiet area with eight acres of land and large patio area with a gas barbeque, there is ample private parking, with the outside areas having external lighting.
The villa comprises 3 twin bedrooms 1 of the bedrooms has en-suite facilities, bed linen and towels (Including beach towels) are provided for your use, along with a log burning fire that can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere, the lounge has a large picture frame window so you can see the far reaching views over the fields to the hills of Valverde. The villa also has a separate poolside WC for your partys use.

It is important to note, that whilst we take every care for your safety. We will not be responsible for any accidents, or injury whilst you are on the property know as Luz Pac.

Entertainment

The villa has Spanish TV and UK satellite television along with a DVD and radio, the recreational activities available with the villa include a trampoline, football net and basket ball net.
Bird watching: The Donana National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and just about 20 minutes drive from the apartment, is the most important natural reserve in Europe and birds flock here during the migratory season. You may prefer to sit quietly by the pool in the evening and watch the birds of prey swoop down to drink from the pool.

Eating & living

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 at the dining table, we provide a welcome pack which is supplied for quests staying one week or more, a photo of pack can be seen on the first page the kitchin has a full cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster. You will also find a washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes drier, along with an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Shopping

You can shop for anything locally in Bollullos (5 mins) away where you will find a Carrefour a Lidi and an Aldi. They all have local fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and meat. The markets are on different days in the surrounding towns and villages from about 9am till 1pm, usually Spanish is only spoken, but you can always get what you want as the traders are all eager to serve you. The shops and businesss close for siesta at 2pm and re-open around 5.30/6pm till 9pm. The exception is the Carrefour in Bollullos which is open from 10am till 10pm.

Places of interest

Punta Umbria is about 30 minutes away from the apartment it has many kilometres of fine sandy beaches stretching to the next port of call El Portil. Punta Umbria each year celebrates two open air extravaganzas to celebrate the sea fishing activities. In March more than 1,700 kilos of clams and other sea food are cooked and sold for nominal prices in the Plaza 26 de Abril. In April more than 60,000 people gather in the marques installed in the Plaza de Perez Pastor to sample prawns caught off the Huelva coast. The prawns have a special colour and taste when cooked, and everyone thoroughly enjoys the experience. This area is surrounded by three protected spaces of national interest and is a magnet for birdwatchers. There are over 200 species identified in the area. There are Pine, Juniper and Sevina woods running parallel to the beaches and sea. These often extend down to the beaches giving visitors much needed shade at the hottest time of the year.
The Atlantic Ocean washes the shores along the Costa de la Luz, the Coast of light, as it is known and many visitors do sea fishing, surfing, sailing, boating and Para surfing along the coast.

Niebla

Is one of the most beautiful villages in Spain and is declared to be of official cultural interest it is about 10 kilometres away. Niebla has a medieval beer festival at the end of May beginning June. Castillo de Niebla theatre and dance festival during July and August. It has two kilometres of perimeter walls completely surrounding the town with numerous towers and five main entrances. This is an authentic work of Moorish architecture and in the interior it includes a Christian castle built by the Guzman family. Almost every month there is a festival of music, theatre or dance held in the castle. It is well worth a visit.

Parque Nacional de Donana

This is considered to be one of the most important wildlife reserves on the European continent, full of natural beauty. The park can be visited by guided tours there are three visitors centres, Acebuche, La Rocina and Palacio Del Acebron. Almonte is the administration centre of the National Parque area where every year there is a round up of the wild horses and they run through the town for selling the next day at the horse market. This is a great night for celebration and many people to see the horses and party.

El Rocio

Is the place of Marian worship and the centre of the Whitsun pilgrimage. Days in which many thousands of visitors particularly Spanish people who walk, ride on carts, tractors, horseback and any other means dressed in their dazzling colourful dresses. They travel from many parts of Spain and the rest of the world to pay homage to the virgin at the most beautiful church you may see. It is a time again for eating, drinking, singing and dancing and everyone is part of this party atmosphere.

La Rabida

Next to Huelva, with its Columbus site, three ships that Columbus sailed in to discover America. The exhibition has many exhibits and artefacts described in Spanish and documents that relate to the time and the journey, and to the people Columbus met when he arrived in what is now known as the West Indies. Here there is a botanical garden containing examples of native and Latin-American flora, monastery of La Ribida with its beautiful conserved image of the Virgen de los Milagros. And nearby the birthplace of America, Palos de la Frontera. It is said that La Ribada is the historical destiny of Huelva, with the discovery of the new world. A cultural meeting place dating back to the 14th century Huelva maintains its traditional links with the peoples of America through its famous Columbinas Festival that takes place every July and August. In September is the festival of LaCinta an exhibition of dressage in the Spanish style with magnificent horses parading up and down the streets along with spectacular ribbon races. In June, July and August are theatre and street shows of Latin American music song and dance. Huelva has much to offer in history and culture and some very good shopping areas and markets.
