The Villa and surrounding areas

This recently completed villa, built in the Catalan style, is situated in a quiet residential area, just 1km from the centre of the historic town of Calonge. The villa sleeps 6 people in 1 large double bedroom with luxury ensuite bathroom and 2 twin bedded rooms sharing a family bathroom. There is an additional WC downstairs. There is a terraced area off the upstairs hallway which catches the afternoon and evening sun. Downstairs is a fully fitted luxury kitchen, including a dishwasher and microwave, and utility room with a washing machine. The spacious living areas are open plan and furnished to a high standard for your comfort. Two sets of patio doors lead from the living area to an outdoor terrace. The landscaped gardens extending round the villa are fully enclosed, with a kidney shaped swimming pool, BBQ, sun terrace and lawn.

There is a supermarket nearby, many local restaurants which are family friendly and a weekly market. The golden sands of Sant Antoni are only a short drive, also the bustling fishing harbour of Palamos and cosmopolitan Platja dAro. For smaller, more tranquil beaches, try the beautiful coves of Tamariu, Llafranc and Calella which are only 15 minutes’ drive. Enjoy a day in Barcelona - maybe shopping, or visiting the Gaudi sights with the breathtaking La Sagrada Familia cathedral - about 1 hour by train. Or take a trip into charming Girona, situated on the river, with its cathedral and old quarter - less than an hour’s drive. The region is generally more sophisticated than the busier resorts of the other Costas with a slower pace of life and beautiful countryside. We feel the Costa Brava has it all - vast sandy beaches, small rugged coves, medieval villages, art and culture, history, watersports, golf, extreme activities, etc. Along with plenty of sunshine, it has everything to offer for a fantastic holiday, whatever your interests.


Additional Information

Wining and dining in Catalonia is a favourite pastime of locals and visitors alike. This area of Spain is well known for its gastronomic delights, yet an average 3 course meal can cost as little as €10 per person, with many excellent local wines.

The nearest airports are Girona (40 minutes) and Barcelona (90 minutes). Both airports are serviced by low cost airlines. We have also scheduled our changeover days so that you can benefit from the cheapest flights which are usually mid-week.



Golf

The Costa Brava has thirteen 18 hole golf courses in total, 8 of which are within easy reach of the villa. The fees are also very reasonable when compared to other Spanish and Portugese courses. Please bear in mind that most of the courses have a dress-code and a required handicap, and many will insist on seeing the handicap certificate before teeing off.
