Welcome to Casa de Palmera, a beautiful 19th century authentic Spanish finca in the idyllic town of Alora in the Valle de Sol.
We are now taking bookings for the rest of 2011 and beyond for a seven night stay in a charming Spanish residence. Widely popular with English and Spanish visitors alike, La Casa de Palmera is a rustic, four-bedroomed holiday home with spacious living quarters, a fully-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, swimming pool and a host of other features that contribute to one of the finest holiday experiences ever.
Alora is situated 35 minutes away from the stunning lakes and mountains of El Chorro and is served by an excellent, air-conditioned rail service from Malaga Airport. Familiar holiday resorts such as Fuengirola and Torremolinos are also easily reachable by train.
Alora itself is a typical pueblo blanco, a whitewashed settlement between three rocky spurs that are watched over by the ruins of a 5th century castle. The town is a pleasant mixture of friendly Spanish locals and welcoming English settlers with a wide mixture of restaurants and tapas bars.
There are a number of local supermarkets available to make your self-catering experience easier with the nearest being situated approximately 300 yards from the finca. 'Harveys' and the 'Tropicana Bar' are both nearby and are run by friendly English owners serving a variety of English and Spanish dishes.
The finca itself can sleep 10 people in four different rooms and the lounge area is exceptionally spacious. The kitchen is well equipped and washing facilities for laundry are also available. Outside, an undercover seating area is complemented by a bar and barbeque area alongside a pool that is ideally sized for young children and adults alike.
Once your holiday is booked, you'll be guided with friendly, informal assistance from the property owners and further help is always available from our many friends in the area if anything is required during your stay.
