The landscape surrounding the village is amazing. You can do a walk by the sea from one end of the village to the other end and really experience the contact with the local people. The apartment has been recently renovated and looks fresh and spacious inside.Madeira island has the best mild climate in Europe. The temperatures near the sea level do not vary so much, but in the mountains you will find more changes of temperature for sure.
The island offers a big variety of landscape from the sea level to the highest mountains that reach 1861 metres. It is a perfect destination for people who seeks activities in the nature or the cosmopolitan way of life that Funchal city displays.
There is activities by the sea with boat trips to watch dolphins, whales or just contemplate the beautiful scenery of Madeira from the sea side.
In the mountains one can walk in the famous Levadas for hours and hours and be in contact with the unspoilt land.
The capital Funchal is very cosmopolitan. You will have the chance to visit the Gardens, the farmers market, the old town, wine lodges, embroidery shops and verify what is going on for cultural events when you are here.

The apartment is situated in the municipality of Calheta village, where there is a good part of the Laurel woods, UNESCO's world heritage that has the famous Levada walks trough the nature. In Calheta village there is an artificial sand beach to catch some sun.
In front of the apartment there is the pier and the shore where you can relax, swim and catch some sun.
In the case that you wish to make exercise there is footpath going from the bottom of the village to the viewpoint on the top of the cliff to take some breathtaking photographs of the landscape surrounding the village.
Conditions
We would like to ask you kindly to make a deposit of 50% of the rental rate to secure your reservation and the remainder is due to be paid up to 6 weeks prior to your arrival.
When your booking is made within less than 6 weeks of your arrival, the complete payment is required and it is non-refundable.
The deposit can only be reimbursed when the cancellation of your reservation is made until 90 days prior to your arrival, otherwise, there is no place for reimbursement. It is your responsibility to ensure acknowledgement of your cancellation is received in good time.
In order to be protected from our policy of cancellations and reservations and to avoid disappointment, we highly recommend you to subscribe the travel insurance provided by the web sites.
