The Cascina has been lovingly restored to its former glory, a rustic Umbrian farmhouse. The archways, beautiful original stonework, and charming character have all been preserved. The Cascina’s lovely terrace overlooks the picturesque views and hillside towards the medieval town of Gubbio and has a large shaded wooden gazebo.

The villa is furnished to a high standard, combining handmade furniture with period pieces and modern comfortable soft furnishings. The property features handmade chestnut windows, traditional tiled floors, a bespoke kitchen, 4 double bedrooms with comfortable beds and four luxury bathrooms.

Traditional solid oak doors lead from the farmhouse’s private terrace to the large kitchen. The bespoke kitchen was handmade by local artisans and has beautiful original stone walls. The kitchen is well equipped and has a dishwasher, gas hob, oven, microwave, plenty of work space and a fridge freezer. An archway leads to the separate living room, which has stone walls and traditional tiled ceilings, a range of comfortable sofas and armchairs, a TV/DVD and a log burning stove. A second archway leads to the separate dining room which has exposed stone walls and a large farmhouse table that seats 10.

The hallway leads to bedroom 4 and to the downstairs bathroom. Bedroom 4 is a double room with views to the north, 2 large handmade single beds and a luxury en-suite bathroom with walk in power shower, Italian mosaic tiles, bidet, basin and WC.
A dramatic terracotta staircase with handmade wrought iron banister leads to the upper floor landing and the 3 additional bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a very large room with views to the west, a king sized traditional brass bed and a luxury en-suite bathroom with a separate bath, walk in power shower, basin, bidet and WC. Bedroom 2 is a double room, enjoys views to the west, has 2 large single beds and utilises the downstairs bathroom with power shower, basin and WC. Bedroom 3 enjoys views to the east, has a king sized brass bed and a luxury en-suite bathroom with walk in power shower, Italian mosaic tiles, bidet, basin and WC.

The Cascina’s private terrace- a perfect place to relax and take in the stunning views, has a ample shaded sitting area with a shaded wooden gazebo, a large table, chairs and a gas BBQ with grill and hot plate.

Guests have use of our very large swimming pool, which boasts stunning infinite views of the mountains, ample shaded terraces and comfortable sun loungers.

There is a selection of outdoor activities available, such as badminton, boule and bikes to hire. There is also a children’s play area with swing and climbing frame, mini football goal and there is small paddling pool with toys for babies.

Bed linen, towels, pool towels, electricity and gas for cooking are included in the rental price. The property is fully centrally heated. (Additional weekly charge applied for use of heating)

For your convenience the property is also equipped with hand soap, dishwasher powder, washing up liquid, cleaning products, kitchen cloths, tea towels and toilet rolls.

The Cantina has an exceptionally large covered loggia and terrace that has fantastic views of the picturesque Apennines to the south. The Cantina is furnished to a high standard, combining handmade furniture with period pieces and modern comfortable soft furnishings. The very spacious property features, a bespoke kitchen and a large bedroom with a comfortable bed and a luxury en-suite bathroom. The Cantina remains cool in summer and warm in winter – due to the ancient in-built air conditioning (hand built stonewalls that are 2ft thick).

Triple aspect oak glass doors lead from the loggia to the Cantina’s large open plan living/dining room which boasts oak beamed ceilings, a hand built stone archway and exposed stone walls throughout. The dining area has a large table and chairs to seat 2. The large living area has 2 comfortable armchairs, a CD player and a range of games and books. The bespoke kitchen was handmade by local artisans and is well equipped and has plenty of work space, a dishwasher, gas hob, oven, microwave and a fridge with freezer compartment.
